The
DPS holds a print and slide competition each year which is open to
all DPS members and is divided into various classes of
content and photographic ability as well as the previous
achievement of the entrants.
Judging
is by an independent external judge and normally takes place in
late summer.
Following
the judging the winners of awards are notified and the
entries are exhibited at a public venue. In 2007 this was at
Cirencester college. The opening of the exhibition coincides with
the giving of trophies and certificates to those who have
been awarded them. The aim is to always exhibit some work from
everybody who enters the competition, whether the have been given
an award or not.
