Photographic Holiday

 

Every year the DPS runs a week long photographic holiday to somewhere in the UK. 

It is a great opportunity for the DPS members to meet up and to enjoy the company of other photographers and to take part in various events, or to do their own thing as they please.

In the Autumn of 2007 the venue was the West shore Hotel in Llandudno, on the edge of the Snowdonia national park in North Wales.

Over the course of the week the members spent their time exploring the local area and taking numerous photographs. A studio session was held on one of the days, with two models, and the sun shone for the entire week. Most evenings everybody could be found enjoying a drink or two in the bar, sometimes more than one or two to be honest.

The Sunday saw a large group head off to Llanberris for a meeting with Bob Aylott, features editor of Amateur Photographer magazine. Bob wrote an article on the DPS for the Christmas 2007 edition of  Amateur photographer Magazine which featured work by several DPS members.

2008 will see the DPS returning to North Wales once again.
