The Focus on Imaging Exhibition 2008

 

Once again the DPS was at the "Focus on Imaging" exhibition, which took place at  the NEC near Birmingham from the 24th to 27th February 2008. 

The exhibition opened to the public on Sunday 24th February, but the hard work started for some of us weeks before that. Then we only had the Saturday afternoon to get the stand ready for the crowds that would come along.

Gillian, Roy, John, Bernard, Peter, Mike and Tom all worked on getting the stand ready.
One of the most time consuming parts is hanging all of the members images on the walls of the stand.

By the Sunday morning all was calm, until the doors were opened and the public came rushing in.

Sundays usual rush, as soon as the doors opened, continued all day giving us one of the best and busiest opening days we have ever had.

The rest of the week was not as busy, which is normal, but we still had our most successful "Focus on Imaging" to date.

Lots of new members joined us and many more renewed their membership during the week. Some picked up a bargain or two, some dropped off unused equipment to sell. Some just left their bags and coats with us while they looked around the show.

We will definitely be back again in 2009
