Quarterly Competitions

The DPS runs a quarterly print competition sponsored by Calumet Photographic, for its members, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Points are awarded to each entrant and prizes are also awarded annually to the highest total scores in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the league table below.
Please read the competition rules before entering.

Image Of The Year
- The Image Of The Year Competition is sponsored by Calumet.
- The Competition is linked to the Quartily Competitions and will be judged by Calumet.
- At the end of the year the first, second, third and highly commended images from both sections of the Quarterly Competition will be forwarded to Calument.
- There will be a prize, certificate and medal awarded to the person who is the lucky winner.
- To be in with a chance of winning 'Image of the Year' please enter three images/prints in each Quarterly Competition.
Annual Competition
- The Annual Competition is for prints and slides Format.
- The Competition is open to all DPS members and is divided into various classes of content and photographic ability as well as the previous achievement of the entrants.
- Judging is by an independent external judge and takes place in late summer.
- The closing date for 2011 entries is 30th of June and Judging takes place in August.
- The Winners of Awards will be notified by post.
- The entries will be exhibited in our Annual Exhibition.
- Prizes will be awarded to the Winners at the opening of the Exhibition.
